Offensive Player of the Week:
Sam Weis, South Carolina - Senior, Attack
The Charleston native and Wando H.S. product was an MCLA all-tournament performer when the 'Cocks made their national championship run in 2019. After a modest start to the 2022 campaign, Weis returned to big-game form with a seven-point outing (6g, 1a) in a 14-12 win over Chapman. He added two more goals in a 10-9 overtime win against Grand Canyon.
Defensive Player of the Week:
Teddy Russell, South Carolina - Sophomore, Defense
Russell, a second-year defender out of Gonzaga College H.S. in our nation's capital, led the way defensively for the Gamecocks during their Arizona swing. He recorded six takeaways and five ground balls in the victory over Grand Canyon.
