D-II Poll: The Owls Have It
ATLANTA – For the second-straight week, Kennesaw State is the top team in the New Balance MCLA Division II Weekly Coaches Poll.
The Owls (8-0), who have finished their season and are now awaiting the SELC tournament, collected half of the 24 first-place votes cast this week.
Sitting 10 points behind Kennesaw State is the College of Idaho (8-0) at No. 2. The Yotes, who grabbed eight first-place votes, posted another Top 10 victory against No. 7 Utah State (7-5) and have their season finale against No. 3 Northwest Nazarene (5-2) on April 23.
Despite a three-game sweep in Missouri, St. Thomas (9-2) dropped a spot to No. 3, despite earning three top votes. The Tommies are well clear of No. 4 Dayton (3-3), however. The Flyers snagged the last first-place vote.
St. Thomas and Dayton meet this Saturday in Saint Paul.
Rhode Island (6-1) rounds out the Top 5, sitting four points behind Dayton.
Loyola Marymount (4-3) vaulted out of the poll, making way for MSU Denver (7-3)
