The SELC Division I Players of the Week for games played March 28 - April 3:
Offensive Player of the Week
Devin Raun, Georgia Tech - Senior, Attack
Devin Raun returned from injury over the weekend and was able to capitalize, scoring 8 goals and adding an assist on the weekend while also collecting four ground balls and contributing in the ride. The Marlborough, Massachusetts native made several momentum changing plays helping to lead the Yellow Jackets to a weekend sweep over SELC foes Georgia and Florida State.
Defensive Player of the Week
Thatcher Knox, South Carolina - Sophomore, LSM
“Thatcher is the kind of player every coach wants on their team, he shows up everyday to practice with a smile on his face, a great attitude and an even better work ethic” says, head coach, Peter Candela. In the previous 2 games Thatcher had 2 takeaways and 5 gb's vs UGA and 4 takeaways and 6 gb's vs WVU. His skill with picking up ground balls has been invaluable for our team in the middle third of the field. He has 33 ground balls total on the season.
