Guess Who? St. Thomas Leads UMLC-II
MINNEAPOLIS – After winning the conference tournament last spring and advancing to the semifinals at nationals for the 13th straight season, St. Thomas has been chosen as the unanimous favorite in Division II of the Upper Midwest Lacrosse Conference (UMLC).
The Tommies (15-4), which fell to eventual national champion Utah in the semis of the 2022 MCLA National Championships presented by New Balance, swept all six first-place votes to lead the way.
Grand Valley State (10-4), which ran into the Utes in the quarterfinals, checks in at No. 2. The Lakers were the UMLC runners-up last spring.
Dayton (6-3) is in the third chair followed by North Dakota State (7-8) at No. 4.
Minn.-Duluth (4-7) and St. John’s (3-11) wrap up the six-team league.
