SELC D-I Announces All-Conference Teams

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The SouthEastern Lacrosse Conference (SELC) announced its 2023 Division I all-conference selections as well as its major award winners during the semifinals of its tournament on Saturday, April 22, at the Bolles School.
South Carolina pole Theodore Russell was tabbed the Sonny Pieper Defensive Player of the Year and leads a contingent of five Gamecocks on the all-conference first team.
Georgia Tech midfielder Sam Eck was named the Corey Noonan Offensive Player of the Year award and is one of two Yellow Jackets earning first-team accolades.
Georgia’s Sam Wheeler was tabbed the Rookie of the Year while the Bulldogs had the Bill Harkins Coaching Staff of the Year. Georgia had two first-team picks.
Florida short-stick defensive middie Stefan Mostovych earned Specialty Player of the Year and was on of three Gators on the first team.
