September 15, 2015 (San Luis Obispo) - Upon the announcement of Marc Lea's retirement from the head coach position at the end of the 2015 season, Cal Poly Lacrosse conducted a nationwide search for a new head coach. Several highly qualified candidates were identified for the position, but both chose other positions citing concerns over relocating their families and the high cost of living in San Luis Obispo.

Fortunately, Josh Moore has agreed to take over the reigns of the program as the interim head coach. Coach Moore is a Cal Poly alumnus who had a very successful playing career with the Mustangs from 2004-2007. He joined the Mustang coaching staff in 2010. Josh has been the Offensive Coordinator for the past three seasons, and his knowledge and innovation have been a primary factor in the success of the Mustang offense.

Cal Poly will continue the search for a permanent head coach with the goal of having the new coach on board prior to the start of the 2016 regular season. Qualified applicants for the position can submit their applications online. This is a paid, part-time position. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled and any candidates interested in the position should fill out the online application form.
