PALO ALTO, Calif. -- No. 3 Cal Poly used a 5-0 third quarter to turn a tight, 4-2 contest at halftime into a comfortable, 14-5 road win over No. 12 Stanford two weeks ago. With the win, the Mustangs (11-1) wrap up the top seed in the WCLL tournament while the Cardinal (8-3) still has designs on the second chair.
Cal Poly was paced by John Corbolotti (3g, 2a) and A.J. Guralas (3g) on the offensive side of the ball while Sean Pihl made 10 saves. Joey Murphy had a goal and an assist for Stanford.
