CSU Seeking Assistant Coaches

The Colorado State University Men’s Lacrosse Program is searching for two assistant coaches to join the team for the 2016-17 season. The lacrosse team is a MCLA Division I program and is administered through the Colorado State University Club Sports program. The selected candidates will serve the team as either the defensive coordinator or special teams coach.

Assistant Coach - Defensive Coordinator
The CSU defensive coordinator position pays $8,000 per year (negotiable). Candidates are expected to assist the head coach in the day-to- day administration the lacrosse program.

● Responsibilities:
- Implement the team defensive philosophy and strategy.
- Instruct players on individual and team defensive concepts.
- Assist with daily practice planning, game preparation, coordinating game film and film exchanges, recruiting, and assisting with team fundraisers.

Desired Assistant Coach Qualities:
● The ideal candidate will have collegiate or high school coaching experience and/or playing experience at the collegiate level.
● Applications will be reviewed in the order they are received until the position is filled.
● This individual must have strong interpersonal and communication skills and must be mindful that these are top tier MCLA level players who act as members of the team and stewards of the program.
● There must always be respect for the program, the team, and all opposing teams. Always represent the University in a positive fashion and honor the game.

Appointment:
● Commencing with the fall semester 2017, part time

Assistant Coach - Special Teams
The CSU assistant coaching position pays $3,000 per year (negotiable). Candidates are expected to assist the head coach in the day-to- day administration the lacrosse program.

● Responsibilities:
- Focus instruction on speciality positions, including goalies and face-off specialists.
- Assist with daily practice planning, game preparation, coordinating game film and film exchanges, recruiting, and assisting with team fundraisers.

● The ideal candidate will have collegiate or high school coaching experience and/or playing experience at the collegiate level.
● Applications will be reviewed in the order they are received until the position is filled.
