ATLANTA – Ken Lovic has been reelected as the president of the Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association, the preeminent non-varsity league in the country, during the MCLA summer meetings held in San Francisco on Aug. 6.

Lovic, who is the head coach at Georgia Tech, was elected to his second three-year term, with his first stint beginning in 2013. He remains as the fourth president in the 21-year history of the MCLA, following Jason Lamb, John Paul and Tony Scazzero.

“It’s always humbling to be elected to a leadership position and I’m certainly honored that the MCLA would select me again to be its president,” said Lovic. “I’m passionate about the MCLA and I want it to reach its full potential. I’m eager to keep pursuing that objective for the next three years.”

A member of the MCLA Executive Committee since its inception in 1997, Lovic remains among the longest-tenured members of the organization’s administration.

In addition to his duties as president, Lovic led Georgia Tech to an undefeated regular season and a conference championship along with a trip to the semifinals of the MCLA National Championships powered by Under Armour – the best finish in the program’s history.
