Elon Announces 2017 Schedule
ELON, N.C. -- After posting a 9-3 record in its first season at the MCLA Division I level, Elon is looking to make a run at the postseason with a solid schedule in 2017.
Under the tutelage of Matt Ward, who enters his fourth season as the head coach, the Phoenix will play a 12-game slate that will hopefully prepare them for the SELC tournament.
Highlighting the non-conference portion of the schedule is a trip to Fort Worth, Texas, to face Texas Christian and Oklahoma along with a visit to Charm City to participate in the annual "Battle of Baltimore." The Phoenix will face GRLC stalwarts Indiana and Purdue in Baltimore.
Elon finished third in the five-team SELC Northeast division and will hope to unseat either South Carolina or NC State for a bid to the conference tournament.
