LOS ANGELES -- The University of Southern California unleashed its schedule for the 2017 campaign and it will feature some of the top teams in the country, including five teams that finished in the Top 15 of the final 2016 Under Armour MCLA Coaches Poll.
The toughest contests will be against defending national champion -- and SLC North rival -- Chapman on the road and national runner-up Cal Poly at home.
In addition, the Trojans will face Cal-Berkeley at the Pac-12 Shootout at UCLA and Oregon State at the Coaches vs. Cancer tournament at Palm Desert. Both of those teams played at the 2016 MCLA National Championships powered by Under Armour.
The regular season will culminate with the Rivalry Cup contest against UCLA that will be held at the historic Los Angeles Coliseum on April 13.
"We have a very strong schedule this year -- maybe USC’s toughest in our long history -- against talented, well-coached, nationally-ranked teams," said USC first-year coach Peter Swander. “This young team knows it will have to work hard to be prepared to compete for every matchup”.
