D-I Poll: Georgia Tech on Top
ATLANTA – With numerous Top 10 teams taking a loss this past weekend, Georgia Tech has grabbed the No. 1 ranking in the Under Armour MCLA Division I weekly poll. It is the first time the Yellow Jackets have ever possessed the top ranking in the MCLA.
The Yellow Jackets edged out Grand Canyon by seven points, as Tech held an 11-10 advantage in first place votes. Cal Poly, last week’s No. 1, dropped to No. 3, yet retained a first place vote.
Brigham Young, which lost to UNLV and beat Cal Poly, and California round out the Top 5.
UNLV entered the poll for the first time at No. 19, bouncing Sonoma State out of the Top 25.
