Volunteer Opps at Nationals
The 2017 MCLA National Championships powered by Under Armour returns to The OC this May 8 & 9 at UC Irvine and May 11 & 13 at Chapman University.
There are some great opportunities for the regional lacrosse community to assist with event operations, while getting an up close and personal view of the action.

Friday, May 5 -- UC Irvine
Facility set-up help is needed (placing back stops, stringing goals, etc.) between the hours of 9:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Able bodied interested persons will receive a small hourly stipend. Minimum 3-hour time block requested. Great for teams to use as a late season fundraiser.
Monday & Tuesday, May 8-9 -- UC Irvine
Game table operations help is needed (time keeping, stats taking) for these first two rounds of games. All 32 teams are in action the first two days. Time keeper is responsible for starting/stopping clock & keeping penalties. Statisticians help to record game stats (shots, goals, ground balls, saves, etc.).
Minimum of two games in a row, prefer full day commitment. Some knowledge of the rules and familiarity with the score table is helpful but not required. MCLA staffer leads each table crew. Great for returning college students, HS/MS coaches, new referees. Meals and small stipends paid out to full day commitments.
Monday, arrive at 10 a.m.; game times are 11 a.m., 1:45 p.m., 4:30 p.m., and 7:15 p.m.
Tuesday, arrive at 9:30 a.m.; game times are 10 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 4 p.m., and 6:45 p.m.
Monday & Tuesday, May 8-9 -- UC Irvine
Gate admissions staff help needed. Perfect for a college club or HS girls/ boys team fundraiser. Cash handling, CC transactions, and you must have a smart phone for ticket scanning (we provide Wi-Fi). Limited number of shifts available between the following daily hours:
Monday 9:30 am to 8:30pm (shift times (spots): 9:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. (4), 1 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. (4), 4:15 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. (4))
Tuesday 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. (shift times (spots): 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. (2), 12:30 p.m. – 4:45 p.m. (4), 4:15 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. (4))
Stipend paid to group or individuals.
Thursday, May 11th -- Chapman University
Game table operations assistants needed for four semi-final games at Chapman. Two game minimum in exchange for great front row action and a ticket for the remainder of the day’s action. There are four semi-final games that day: 11 a.m., 1:45 p.m., 4:30 p.m., 7:15 p.m.. You’ll arrive one hour prior to assigned game.
Two positions are open for each game and it’s a two-game minimum. Those that cover the full day are provided with meals and small stipend.
Thursday, May 11th -- Chapman University
Admission gate staff positions are available and staffed by groups of 3 workers. Must be comfortable handling cash, CC transactions, and using mobile phone to scan ticket holders.
Minimum 4-hour time block that begins at 9:30 a.m. and ends at 8:30 p.m. (9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. (3), 1:15 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. (3), 4 p.m. to close (3)).
Meals provided for anyone working two, or more, 4-hour shifts. Small stipend paid.
Saturday, May 13th -- Chapman University
Game table operations assistants for two national championship games. Two positions are open to help with game stats and timing. Two game commitment; arrive 45 minutes prior to first game.
Game start times are 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., clean up by 5:30 p.m. Lunch & small stipend paid.
Saturday, May 13th -- Chapman University
Admission gate staff positions (4) are available for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Must be comfortable handling cash, CC transactions, and using mobile phone to scan ticket holders. Lunch and small stipend paid.
