ASU Opens Coaching Search
TEMPE, Ariz. -- Arizona State University is currently accepting applications for the position of head coach of the men’s lacrosse team, which plays in Division I of the Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association (MCLA).
This is a full-time, 12-month position. The team budget allows for a competitive pay structure based on experience. Candidates with quality coaching experience will also be considered for a multi-year contract.
Primary Duties
Player and assistant coaching staff recruitment, player development, staff management, scheduling, equipment management, practice/game management, scouting, player eligibility, promotional activities, fundraising and rules compliance.
Secondary Duties
Additional revenue source. Director of ASU Lacrosse Camp. Summer evening camps and December weekend camp to promote ASU Lacrosse to local and national youth.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required. Preference will be given to the candidate who has playing and coaching experience at the MCLA and/or NCAA level. Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills are essential for the team and individual players to reach their full potential.
The program holds in high regard positive leadership, initiative, work ethic, commitment and responsibility.
