USU’s Pehrson Has Command Performance
ATLANTA – After guiding the Aggies to a 3-0 week and grabbing a bye in the RMLC tournament, Utah State junior attackman Hunter Pehrson had the Division II Commanding Performance of the Week powered by Under Armour for the period ending April 21.
Pehrson started the week against Wyoming and the Draper, Utah, native dished out four assists in the Aggies 15-8 triumph. He followed that up with four goals and five dimes against Colorado Denver.
Pehrson finished off the week with four goals and an assist in a comfortable win over MSU Denver. For the week, he combined for eight goals and 10 assists.
"Ever since joining the team Hunter has been a vocal leader on and off the field,” said Utah State coach Scott Bingham. “He leads by example and often shoulders the responsibility of directing the offense.
“He's comfortable driving to the cage on his own, but has put a lot of work into his vision, growing immensely in his ability to share the rock. He can put a lot of pressure on a defense and elevates the level of play of those around him."
For his efforts in earning the Commanding Performance of the Week powered by Under Armour, Pehrson will receive a new Under Armour Command Head – a $100 value. Under Armour is the proud sponsor of the MCLA.
