SEATTLE – After posting an undefeated regular season and making a magical first-time run to the national semifinals, the College of Idaho is the unanimous top pick in the Pacific Northwest Collegiate Lacrosse League (PNCLL) Division II preseason coaches poll.
The Yotes (14-1) swept all nine first-place votes to stand alone on top with 99 points. College of Idaho is also the two-time defending PNCLL-II champions, having defeated Montana for both titles.
The Grizzles are alone in second place with 90 points (9-7). Despite its runner-up finish in the PNCLL last spring, the Grizzlies still qualified for the 2019 MCLA National Championships.
Central Washington (7-3) edged out Western Oregon (9-4) by a lone point for the third-place spot in the poll.
The 2020 PNCLL tournament will take place in Eugene, Ore., on the campus of the University of Oregon on April 25-26.
