The Flames’ senior middie Carter Elliot dropped a six-pack on the Tigers while senior goalie Ryan Reynolds made 20 saves.
Clemson junior All-American attackman Garret Brennan was held to just two points, forcing classmate Devon McIntyre to carry the load with three goals and a helper.
But now the contest moves into the ether, where anything can happen.
No. 19 Clemson pulled a mild upset with a comfortable victory over No. 14 Oregon. The Tigers took 893-of-1,529 votes for a breezy win of 16.8 percentage points.
No. 3 Liberty housed No. 30 San Diego State by nearly 30 percentage points, garnering 493 of the 754 votes.
Who will advance to the quarterfinals?!
