THE BACK BAY – In a move to spark attendance and give a little gravitas to this semifinal matchup, Boston College will be hosting Minnesota on the hallowed grounds of Fenway Park for this 2020 MCLA Virtual Tournament contest.
These two programs nearly crossed conference paths in the last couple of years, but Minnesota left the CCLA a year before it joined the PCLL to form the CLC.

No. 11 Boston College has shown some pop so far in this virtual tournament, bouncing Dominican, SMU and Clemson with alacrity.
Taking down the Golden Gophers won’t be quite as easy.
No. 23 Minnesota downed Santa Clara to start the tournament and then followed that up with a pair of wins over a couple of SELC heavyweights – Georgia Tech and Florida State.
