STATESBORO, Ga. -- After three years as head coach, Christopher Löwe will be leaving Georgia Southern.
He was hired during the summer of 2018 to help rebuild the GSU program after two seasons of falling to win a single game. Löwe's first season produced a 2-7 mark.
In his second season, Georgia Southern was able to go 5-4, including a victory over reigning SELC Division II champions North Florida. The Eagles were the No. 3 seed in the SELC prior to COVID.
“I’m sad to be leaving GSU, but understand the team's student board wanting to start fresh," said Löwe. "I wish them the best of luck and hope they can build upon what we started last year.”
