Montana Unmasks 18-Game Schedule
MISSOULA, Mont. -- The Montana men's lacrosse team has announced its 18-game regular season schedule for the 2022 campaign.
The season starts out with three straight road games, capped by a PNCLL North subdivisional game against Puget Sound.
The Grizzlies will get their first big test of the season when they head to Englewood, Colo., -- outside Denver -- to face defending national champion St. Thomas and UMLC power Minn.-Duluth on Feb. 19-20.
Montana then enjoys a four-game homestand, which includes a conference game against Idaho.
After a trip south to face Northern Arizona, San Diego and UC San Diego, the Grizzlies return home to face PNCLL newcomer Northwest Nazarene on April 1. The following day, they battle Montana State for state supremacy.
On April 9-10, Montana has another challenging weekend in Dickinson, N.D., when it plays St. John's and North Dakota State on back-to-back days.
The schedule concludes with conference games against Central Washington and Western Washington.
"We're putting the rubber to the road, as usual," said Montana coach Tucker Sargent. "This gives us a lot of games against great opponents across the country. If we can do well in the regular season, we should be prepared for the postseason."
