SELC Players of the Week
Each week, coaches in the SELC submit their nominations to the SELC awards committee for an Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week. Below are the SELC Players of the Week for games played March 20-26:
Division I
Offensive Player of the Week
Jordan Celeslie, Auburn - Junior, Midfield
Auburn swept the weekend thanks to Celeslie's production. He would total six goals, three assists and one ground ball over the weekend with wins over divisional opponents Florida State and Central Florida.
Defensive Player of the Week
Craig Morgan, Auburn - Sophomore, Goalie
Morgan was a big reason why the TIgers were able to upset Florida State on Friday. He racked up 22 saves while allowing only 11 goals. In limited action the next day, Morgan would still contribute to beat Central Florida with five saves and two goals against.
Division II
Offensive Player of the Week
Jayson Andino, Florida Gulf Coast - Senior, Attack
Andino would be the driving force behind Florida Gulf Coast's big weekend with wins over Bridgewater State and Charlotte. Andino would pick up 11 groundballs, eight goals and one assist.
Defensive Player of the Week
Grant Shafer, Florida Gulf Coast - Senior, Goalie
With another big weekend, Shafer combined for 31 saves between the two wins against Bridgewater State and Charlotte, recording an 82.5% save percentage.
