Duluth’s Ehrlichman Named GOW
ATLANTA – After backstopping Minn.-Duluth to a clutch Top 5 victory, Bulldogs’ sophomore netminder Kyle Ehrlichman is the MCLA Division II PEARL Goalie of the Week for the period ending April 16.
Matching up against No. 5 Missouri State in Ames, Iowa, on Friday night, the Brooklyn Park, Minn., native was on fire.
Ehrlichman finished with 20 saves in Duluth’s dominant, 11-4 win over the Bears. His numbers were good for a staggering 83.3 save percentage.
He also chipped in with a ground ball.
“Kyle was huge in the game on Friday and had the best performance of his young career,” said Duluth coach Ben Blaeser.
“He has been playing at a different level, and has been a big part of our strong second half to the season.”
For earning the PEARL’s Goalie of the Week, Ehrlichman will receive a prize package from Guardian PEARL, a ball that lasts longer than the rest and never greases. Guardian PEARL is the proud partner of the MCLA.
