SELC D-I Players of Week
(From an SELC release)
Each week, coaches in the SELC submit their nominations to the SELC awards committee for an Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week. Below are the SELC Division I Players of the Week for games played April 10-16:
Division I
Offensive Player of the Week
Patrick Reilly, South Carolina - Senior, Attack
Reilly helped South Carolina down Auburn in the SELC quarterfinals over the weekend. His nine points, including eight goals and an assist, was his single game season high, which came at a perfect time for the Gamecocks as they now head into the semifinals against a stout Georgia squad.
Defensive Player of the Week
Peter Zagrobelny, Georgia Tech - Freshman, Goalie
Zagrobelny has continued to impress and stepped up big again for the Yellow Jackets in their win against Florida State in the SELC quarterfinals. Collecting a 68.2 save percentage, one groundball and 15 saves, with only seven goals against from the Seminoles, Zagrobelny will look to replicate his recent performance against No. 1 Florida next.
