Michigan State Opens Assistant Searches
EAST LANSING, Mich. -- The Michigan State University men's lacrosse team is looking for qualified candidates to be assistant coaches for the 2023-24 season and beyond.
Coaching responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Design practice plans and drills.
- Assist with the preparation and implementation of game strategies.
- Conduct and supervise individual player skill development.
- Film review and scouting of opponents.
- Administrative tasks and other duties as assigned by the head coach.
Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations is essential. Prior experience in the MCLA is preferred, but not required. Collegiate playing and coaching experience is preferred. Travel will be required.
Michigan State University is a public land-grant research university in East Lansing, Michigan founded in 1855. The men’s lacrosse program is a member of the Men's Collegiate Lacrosse Association (MCLA) Division I, an association of nine conferences nationwide.
Michigan State competes in the Upper Midwest Lacrosse Conference (UMLC). The Spartans won their conference championship in the 2023 season and qualified for the MCLA National Championships presented by New Balance.
Salary will be ultimately determined by the officers, who will make the decision based on the feedback of the team as a whole.
