IRVINE, Calif. -- Concordia's men's lacrosse team pushed past UC Irvine to complete its second-straight undefeated regular season. The Eagles started a bit sluggish, but made a big third quarter run to close out the Anteaters.

By the Numbers

Attackman Max Satossky continued his scoring ways, finishing with seven goals while playing less than three quarters of the game.

The Difference

The Eagles were engaged in a tight contest early, as the Anteaters finished their second straight man up goal to make the score 4-3. CUI would pull it back together though, outscoring its opponent 19-3 the rest of the game.

Critical Plays

The CUI close defense flexed its muscle with 14 caused turnovers between them. Richard Andow highlighted this dominant play with three caused turnovers and two ground balls, earning him player of the game honors.

"We go into every game with the expectation that we are going to improve as a program," CUI coach Ryan Brent said, "We faced some self-inflicted adversity early in this contest, but our captains and leaders were able to right the ship and that is a big positive we can take away from tonight."

What it means

The Eagles finish with their second-straight undefeated regular season and assure a first round bye in the SLC tournament. CUI has won three straight SLC Championships.
